Unfortunately, not everything can be bought cheaply. As hard as I try, there are just some things that I have to invest in because the cheaper version means poor quality, which means I’ll get frustrated and throw it out in a matter of weeks. And then kick myself for not just spending the money for what I really wanted in the first place.
It goes without saying — but I’ll say it anyways — that one of the pieces of clothing you MUST invest in is a good-fitting pair of jeans. I highly recommend getting a pair with some stretch — not like the pajama jeans, don’t even get me started on those — so that if you gain or lose a few pounds they will accommodate your body. Or if you are like me and get a food baby after a big dinner, you won’t have to go home to change your jeans.
I just got this pair of J Brand dark skinny jeans from Nordstrom for my birthday, and I am in love.
They are a great dark color — no whiskering, I hate whiskering — and are super soft. At $158, they definitely are something I would not buy everyday, but I will wear these suckers again and again for the next few years, so the money is definitely worth it. They have my stamp of approval if you are in the market for some new skinny jeans.
Be on the lookout for this monthly feature of the one thing I suggest to pay full price for. Everything else, don’t even think about it.
