I am so sick of the cold weather. I have a 90-day lifespan of my excitement for wearing big cozy sweaters and warm scarves and after that I am OVER IT. So since we are still over two months away from spring and a million days into winter — or so it seems — I grow increasingly more pissed off with each day that I have to put on something warm over my ghostly white skin. I think I need to get a spray tan just to lift my mood. Whatever it takes.
Because I’m sure I am not alone in the why-the-eff-is-winter-dragging-its-big-ass along thinking, I’ve put together day and night looks using the same great sweater — this one is sold out, sorry, but you can find similar ones on Goodnight Macaroon, too. Also everything on here is $100 or less, so these pieces are good choices that you don’t have to feel guilty about. January is not the time to break the bank, it’s the time to up that contribution on your 401k, people.
This look is casual and comfortable but still completely stylish. Boyfriend jeans are very in right now and while I have yet to successfully find a good pair I like for cheap — no need to spend $$ on something that isn’t timeless — I am still on the lookout. I recently tried on some at the Gap and burst out laughing at myself in the dressing room because I looked ridiculous. The ridiculousness was mostly attributed to me being makeup-less — which in the winter is truly scary — and being slightly hungover from the night prior, but I also pictured the look on Wilson’s face when I hypothetically wore said jeans that were too tight in the thighs and gaped at the waist and it was actually laughable. Regardless of my atrocious boyfriend jean experience, I highly recommend that you give it a try — don’t we all want to look like jean-queen Jessica Alba? She often rocks the boyfriend jean but still has a husband.

Pairing an oversized cable knit with leather leggings may not be your first thought for something to wear at night, but it should be. It is the perfectly edgy look and still covers your behind in the event showcasing your goodies in pleather isn’t your thang. This clutch is also the perfect orange-y red and accents the caramel color of the sweater so well.
I wonder if Baby Blue is drinking out of her gold sippy cup today that Hova brought home last night. I certainly hope so.
